Without hesitation, I agreed. The plan was set for Bettina to join me in Romania a couple of months later, where we would head to the Piatra Craiului Mountains. I had friends with a cozy, equestrian-themed guesthouse in the area called Alpin Ranch, which would serve as both our base and a source for the horse we’d need to bring Bettina’s vision to life.
