I prefer natural light
When it comes to creating a compelling boudoir session, I’ve always believed in keeping things simple. For me, the essentials are straightforward: a talented model, a good source of natural light, and the right vision behind the camera. Working with Georgiana Timuș, who is incredibly expressive and fully embodies her role, made this project all the more inspiring.
Planning a boudoir shoot in late autumn presented its challenges, especially when aiming for natural light. Due to the season’s shorter days, I opted to use a bright, minimalist studio, allowing for abundant natural light without relying on bulky equipment. The setup was as pared down as it could be: a camera, a single lens, and Ikea curtains to soften the light streaming in. This simplicity let us move freely, unencumbered by heavy studio lights or equipment, giving the session a sense of ease and spontaneity.
